This help file explains fundamental and advanced concepts necessary for using National Instruments 6535/6536/6537 digital I/O (DIO) devices. The NI 6535/6536/6537 is a 32-channel digital I/O device for PCI Express or PXI Express that you can use as a digital I/O tester, a PC/peripheral device interface, pattern generator, or pattern analyzer.

NI 6535/6536/6537 are programmed using the NI-DAQmx instrument driver. NI-DAQmx is Windows-compatible and provides an API for LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and other text-based development environments.
