You need to register remote computers before setting up networked applications. Complete the following steps to register a remote computer:

  1. In LabVIEW, select Tools»Shared Variable»Register Computer to display the Register Remote Computer dialog box.
  2. In the Machine Name or IP Address text box, specify the computer name or the IP address of the remote computer.
  3. Click the OK button to register this computer.

After you register a remote computer, the Distributed System Manager displays this computer under the Network Items folder in the system tree pane. You also can register and unregister a remote computer by using the System Manager. In LabVIEW, select Tools»Distributed System Manager to launch the System Manager.
