Excluding New or Modified Files from a Patch Deployment

Complete the following steps to exclude new or modified files from a patch deployment.
- Select the file in the Distributed Files section of the Distributed Files tab of the TestStand Deployment Utility.
- Select Not Included in the File Status control of the File Properties tab.
Selecting the Not Included option always excludes the file in the patch deployment, even if the file is modified.
Note Excluding files from a patch deployment can negatively affect a deployed test system.
Note This topic applies to patches you create for MSI-based installer distributions.
