Show Soft Front Panel Operation

The tool soft front panel (SFP) displays a panel you can use to perform low-level operations on an instrument. These operations include initializing or closing an instrument session, resetting the instrument, performing a self test, querying the instrument for revision or error information, and setting or getting attribute values.

The Edit IVI Tools Step dialog box for the Show Soft Front Panel operation contains the following tabs:

• SFP Options —The behavior for the SFP when displayed.
• Window Options —The window title and display location for the SFP.
• Operation Settings —Specifies where the dialog saves and reloads the operation settings.
