FTP Files Step Configuration Dialog Box
Select Configure FTP Files in the context menu for the step or click Configure FTP Files on the General tab of the Step Properties dialog box to launch the FTP Files Step Configuration dialog box from a TestStand User Interface .
Use this dialog box to specify what files to download to or upload from a remote system.
The FTP Files Step Configuration dialog box contains the following options:
- Hostname —The remote computer.
- Specify Remote Host by Expression —Enable this option to specify that the Hostname control contains an expression the step evaluates at run time to determine the name of the remote host.
- FTP Username —The user name to use to log into the FTP server on the remote system.
- FTP Password —The password to use to log into the FTP server on the remote system.

Files to FTP
—Lists the files to download or upload. Click
Add
to add new files to the list. Click
Remove
to remove the selected file from the list. Click
Copy and Paste
to duplicate the selected file in the list. To modify an entry, select the entry and use the following controls:
- Direction —Specifies whether to download or upload the file.
- Local File Path —The local path of the file to download. This option is available only when you download a file.
- Remote Directory —The remote directory to download the file to. The directory must be either an absolute path or a relative path from the default login directory. The directory must already exist. This option is available only when you download a file.
- Local Directory —The local directory to upload the file to. The directory must be an absolute path. The directory must already exist. This option is available only when you upload a file.
- Remote File Path —The remote path of the file to upload. This option is available only when you upload a file.
- Overwrite Existing File —TestStand overwrites the file if it already exists.
