Configure Operation - Edit IVI Scope Step Dialog Box
Configure Operation
The Configure operation configures an oscilloscope for a typical waveform measurement. An instrument acquires a waveform at a configurable interval, sequentially in real-time sampling, or interleaved from multiple waveform acquisitions in equivalent-time sampling. You can also configure the instrument to perform more complex acquisitions, such as average, envelope, and peak detect using trigger types such as TV, runt, and glitch.
Note
The Configure operation handles only settings the base IVI class specification supports and the extension groups you specify on the Extensions tab. For best results, enable only the extensions the application requires.
The Edit IVI Scope Step dialog box for the Configure operation contains the following tabs:
- Basic —The type of acquisition the oscilloscope performs.
- Advanced —Low, middle, and high references for waveform measurements.
- Channels —The channel names and their settings to configure.
- Trigger —The trigger settings for the oscilloscope.
- Extensions —The extensions to enable in the dialog box.
- Operation Settings —Specifies where the dialog box saves and reloads the operation settings.
