Add Thread Operation - Batch Specification Step Configuration Dialog Box
Add Thread Operation
Use the Add Thread operation to add a TestStand thread to the group of batch threads.
The Add Thread operation contains the following options:
- Batch Name or Reference Expression —The batch on which to perform the operation. You can specify the batch by name or by the object reference you receive when you create the batch using the Use Object Reference for the Batch Reference Lifetime option.
- Object Reference to Thread —A Thread object to add to the batch. A thread can belong to only one batch at a time. Adding a thread to a batch removes the thread from a previous batch, if any. Additionally, when a thread terminates, the thread removes itself from the batch.
- Order Number —The order in which threads enter synchronized sections. Threads with a lower order number enter a synchronized section before threads with a higher order number.
