Configuration Utility Advanced Options
The Configuration Utility offers an advanced Development Mode and allows you to auto-remove quotes around values.
Enabling Development Mode
Development Mode reveals hidden fields and sections intended for
developers and advanced users. While it is off, those private fields are hidden so
that the form focuses on the settings most users need. Complete the following steps
to enable Development Mode:
- Turn this feature on from . You are prompted for a password upon first use each session; once entered, this feature stays unlocked for the rest of the session.
- If you open a file that already contains advanced (private) fields, Development Mode turns on automatically for that file so you can see them.
Note Development Mode resets every time you start the Configuration
Utility.
Auto-Removing Quotes on Load
Some configuration values may be stored wrapped in quotation marks. Select to have the Configuration Utility strip surrounding quotes from values automatically when a file is opened. When values are changed this way, the file is marked as having unsaved changes and the status bar reports how many values were adjusted.
