Naming the ICsc Instruments in the System

Use Hardware Configuration Utility to create aliases for the ICsc instruments.

VSTs—NI recommends that you name each PXIe-5842 in your system numerically beginning with the left-most slot of Chassis 0: 5842_00, 5842_01, and so on.

5842_00 is the master VST in your system.

LO Source—NI recommends that you name each PXIe-5655 in your system to match the names of the PXIe-5842, beginning with the left-most PXIe-5655: 5655_00, 5655_01, and so on.

5655_00 is the master LO source in your system.
