Configure the 100 GbE NICs with static IP addresses.

RPDSsc requires static IP addresses for each 100 GbE NIC port that is utilized by it.

Use Netplan to configure static IP addresses for each NIC. Refer to the Netplan documentation for information on how to configure a Netplan if you are not familiar with the Netplan utility.

NI does not recommend any specific contents for your netplan.yaml file out of respect and concern for the security of your organization. However, NI does recommend adhering to the following guidelines when setting up your netplan.yaml file:

  • Required—A unique static IP address for each 100 GbE NIC physical port.
  • Recommended—A unique 3-byte subnet for each 100 GbE NIC physical port.
  • Not required—A static IP address for non-100 GbE NICs used for networking and / or internet connection.
  • Note Determine the device name for each physical port on the 100 GbE NICs by following the steps described in Mapping Physical 100 GbE Ports to Their Device Names.
