You can use rotated text labels to display rotated and stacked vertical text. You can rotate any text label.

Complete the following steps to rotate a text label:
  1. Select Vertical Arrangement from the shortcut menu.
  2. Select one of the following options:
    OptionDescription
    None Label appears as normal text.
    Stacked Label appears as stacked text.
    Clockwise Label text appears rotated 90° clockwise. This results in vertical text that reads downward.
    Counterclockwise Label text appears rotated 90° counterclockwise. This results in vertical text that reads upward.
    Note When working with free labels, if you add a vertical scrollbar, you can only set Vertical Arrangement to None or Stacked. The other options are grayed out. Likewise, if you set Vertical Arrangement to Clockwise or Counterclockise, the Vertical Scrollbar option in the Visible Items menu is grayed out.
