Converts a timestamp value or a numeric value to a cluster of time values. This function loses fractional seconds of precision when converting the timestamp. If you convert date time rec back into a time stamp, the timestamp may not display the exactly correct value.

Inputs/Outputs

  • catrn.png time stamp —

    time stamp can be a timestamp or a numeric. If numeric, this number is the time-zone-independent number of seconds that have elapsed since 12:00 a.m., Friday, January 1, 1904, Universal Time [01-01-1904 00:00:00]. The default is the current date and time.

    If year is before 1904, time stamp is negative.
  • cbool.png to UTC (F) —

    to UTC specifies if date time rec is in Universal Time or in the configured time zone for the computer. If TRUE, date time rec is in Universal Time.

    The default is FALSE.
  • inclst.png date time rec —

    date time rec returns the date and time. If to UTC is TRUE, date time rec is in Universal Time. If to UTC is FALSE, date time rec is in the configured time zone for the computer.

  • idbl.png fractional second —

    fractional second is the fractions of a second since the start of the second. Values must be greater than or equal to 0 and less than 1.

  • ii32.png second —

    second is the number of complete seconds since the start of the minute. Values can be 0 to 59.

  • ii32.png minute —

    minute is the number of complete minutes since the start of the hour. Values can be 0 to 59.

  • ii32.png hour —

    hour is the number of complete hours since midnight. Values can be 0 to 23.

  • ii32.png day of month —

    day of month can be 1 to 31.

  • ii32.png month —

    month can be 1 to 12.

  • ii32.png year —

    year can be from 1600 to 3000.

  • ii32.png day of week —

    day of week can be 1 to 7, which correspond to Sunday and Saturday, respectively.

  • ii32.png day of year —

    day of year can be 1 to 366.

  • ii32.png DST —

    is DST returns a value for standard (0) or daylight saving time (1). If to UTC is TRUE, is DST is standard (0).
