Emerging technologies require a flexible platform to keep pace with emerging communications standards. National Instruments general-purpose RF toolkits such as the Modulation and Spectral Measurements toolkits provide NI LabVIEW and LabWindows™/CVI the ability to define custom PHY layer measurements. In addition, you can use standard-specific toolkits such as the NI GPS Toolkit for LabVIEW to generate specific waveforms for GPS receiver test.

NI Measurement Suites for Fixed and Mobile WiMAX
The NI Measurement Suites for Fixed and Mobile WiMAX provides generation and analysis functions for Fixed WiMAX (IEEE 802.16-2004) and Mobile WiMAX (IEEE 802.16e-2005) signals. The suite includes the NI Signal Analysis Toolkit for Fixed and Mobile WiMAX, used with RF vector signal analyzers, and the NI Signal Generation Toolkit for Fixed and Mobile WiMAX, used with RF vector signal generators.
The NI WLAN Measurement Suite contains toolkits with measurement functions for both generation and analysis of wireless LAN signals. Using these toolkits, you can test IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n devices.
The Modulation Toolkit extends the built-in analysis capability of LabVIEW with functions and tools for signal generation, analysis, visualization, and processing of standard and custom digital and analog modulation formats.
The Spectral Measurements Toolkit provides a set of flexible spectral measurements in LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI, including power spectrum, peak power and frequency, in-band power, adjacent-channel power, and occupied bandwidth, as well as 3D spectrogram capabilities.
The GPS Toolkit for LabVIEW enables you to simulate up to 12 satellites in the L1 band. This toolkit can be used in conjunction with an NI RF vector signal generator to measure receiver characteristics such as time to first fix (TTFF) and sensitivity.
The Digital Filter Design Toolkit extends LabVIEW with functions and interactive tools for design, analysis, and implementation of digital filters.
The Advanced Signal Processing Toolkit is a suite of software tools, example programs, and utilities for time-frequency analysis, time-series analysis, and wavelets.
