Macintosh Application Software

LabVIEW
Macintosh Application Software LabVIEW, a general-purpose programming tool for test and measurement, laboratory automation, and industrial automation, introduced the world to graphical programming in April 1986, on the Macintosh. In LabVIEW, software programs consist of a graphical front panel user interface and a block diagram program. You create the block diagram simply by connecting executable blocks or icons with the wires that pass data between the blocks rather than by writing sequential lines of conventional programming code. LabVIEW features extensive, ready-to-use libraries for data acquisition, instrument control, data analysis, and data presentation.

We are now happy to introduce LabVIEW 7 Express on the latest Mac platform, Mac OS X. This latest version of LabVIEW takes advantage of the Mac OS X UNIX-base to deliver unprecedented performance and leverages advanced features such as true protected memory, preemptive multitasking and advanced memory management. Along with LabVIEW 7 Express for Mac OS X, we are introducing the LabVIEW Real-Time technology to the Mac platform for the first time ever. With these Real-Time technologies, LabVIEW users can develop applications on Mac OS X, and then deploy their applications using an embedded PXI controller. From developing tests for the latest human genome project or creating a unique interface to LEGO's robotics, LabVIEW and the Macintosh are at the center of many cutting edge scientific research applications.
