Availiable for Linux?
When will the NXT toolkit be availiable for Labview on Linux? It is a shame it is currently not possible to use the toolkit with a Linux install.
- Mar 13, 2010

While the NXT module has not been compiled to be natively 64 bit it can be installed on a 64 bit system. This does require LabVIEW 2009 32 bit to be installed on the same system.

HiTech Gyro Sensor
I am looking for LabVIEW functions that will allow me to use the Hitech Gyro Sensor available from Lego Education. This sensor will be much easier to use that the Compass Sensor where LabVIEW functions areprovided.

I bought myself the NXT kit months ago and its still in the box. Was the promise of a toolkit juts to generate lego sales? Give us (LV Users) the APIs and well develop the VIs for you! I just want to play with my legos, its been thirty years.

My electronics course learns does data acquisition and programs in LabVIEW so I decided to have them devise, build, and interface new sensors for the NXT as a project. I was counting on the toolkit being available as we need it now to measure analog voltages. Is a beta version available?

NXT 2.0
Have any software improvements been planned at your end for the forthcoming "NXT 2.0" kit, or support of generic I2C or Port 1 High Speed -P-Bus applications?
- Jun 21, 2009

NXT 2.0 - High Speed I2C or rs485 communication
We at LabMACS – Università Politecnica delle Marche – Italy have been designed a number of VIs with NXT Toolkit to able NXT in I2C and rs485 High Speed communication through port 4. With latest firmware (1.28 from BRICXCC website) the NXT is able to communicate synchronously with sensors and other NXTs in different High Speed communication rates. Now we have been completed NI-Smart Camera 2 NXT interfacing through RS232-RS485 adapter.

Labview 8.5: No XT Block Wizard
Most of the documentation says to use Laview 7.1 to create NXTG Blocks. I have Labview 8.5 but I can't see the NXT Block Wizard. Is there any workaround for this? do I NEED 7.1?
