The NI Vision Development Module is a comprehensive library with hundreds of image processing algorithms and machine vision functions to enhance images, check for presence, locate features, identify objects, and measure parts.

You can build complete highly customized applications in numerous programming languages, such as NI LabVIEW for graphical programming as well as C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, and Visual Basic .NET for text-based environments.

Additionally, with the Vision Development Module, you can:

  • Prototype your application and generate ready-to-run code with the NI Vision Assistant (included)
  • Set up complex pass/fail decisions based on multiple inspection results
  • Communicate triggering and inspection results directly over digital I/O, serial, and Ethernet protocols
  • Customize deployment interfaces
  • Acquire images from analog, parallel digital, Camera Link, GigE Vision, IEEE 1394, DirectShow-compliant USB, and IP cameras with NI Vision Acquisition Software (included)
  • Deploy applications using NI Smart Cameras, Compact Vision Systems, Embedded Vision Systems, and frame grabbers

You also can take advantage of add-ons and toolkits that complement the LabVIEW environment to integrate tasks, including data acquisition, motion control, and robotics, within the same application.
