NI can help you identify the skills your project requires for success and direct you to resources such as online content and instructor-led and self-paced training courses to help you gain those skills.
Register TodayGain in-depth product knowledge and hands-on hardware experience as well as learn best practices for developing applications by attending a two-day certified instructor-led training course with comprehensive content. By taking these courses, which begin two days prior to NIWeek, you can earn 1.4 continuing education units to maintain a professional status such as Professional Engineer. NI offers several training courses at discounted rates prior to NIWeek to help you maximize your time in Austin. Simply register for these courses when you register for NIWeek.
The NIWeek price for courses will be $1,000; all NIWeek courses last two days (Sunday and Monday, August 4 and 5).
Not ready to certify yet? NI offers complementary certification preparation courses for the CLD and CLA exams during NIWeek on Monday, August 5:
Certified LabVIEW Developer Prep Session: 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Certified LabVIEW Architect Prep Session: 1:00–5:00 p.m.
The LabVIEW Real-Time 1 course delivers hands-on training for prototyping deterministic measurement and control systems. At the end of the course, you will be able to design, develop, and prototype a real-time application that handles communication between the real-time target and a host computer using NI-recommended methods and LabVIEW Real-Time.
Learn how to design complete, stand-alone applications with the LabVIEW graphical development environment. An extension of the LabVIEW Core 1 course, LabVIEW Core 2 introduces you to common design techniques for successfully implementing and distributing LabVIEW applications for research, engineering, and testing environments. Topics covered include file I/O function use, event programming, and error-handling practices.
Learn how to use the out-of-the-box features of NI VeriStand to develop real-time testing applications such as hardware-in-the-loop test systems. Receive an introduction to real-time testing and walk through building an NI VeriStand test system that includes real-time simulation, hardware I/O, and alarming. Also learn how to create sophisticated real-time stimulus profiles to stimulate a device under test and log its responses to a variety of real-world conditions.
Learn to cultivate the skills you need to effectively manage and deliver large LabVIEW applications in single- or multi-developer environments. Also obtain common practices for managing large, team-oriented projects from specification to deployment. By incorporating these application development practices, you can improve development processes and optimize applications and resources to effectively reduce development time and costs.
Object-oriented (OO) design encourages cleaner interfaces between sections of code, results in code that is easier to debug, and scales better for large programming teams. OO programming is the development of code in a language that enforces OO design principles. This course covers the fundamental concepts of OO design and programming and then demonstrates how those concepts are implemented in LabVIEW.
Build on the information you learned in the LabVIEW Core 3 course. Identify the components of integrated systems and implement networking technologies for your applications. Also extend your application functionality and reduce development time by using technologies such as DLLs, ActiveX, and the Internet to take advantage of the capabilities of other applications.
