2LabWindows/CVI discontinued support for Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2003 on July 1, 2015. Versions of LabWindows/CVI shipped after July 1, 2015, do not install or run on Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2003. For detailed information on this change, visit National Instruments Support Life Cycle for Windows XP/Vista/Server 2003

3NI software is signed with a SHA-256 certificate. Windows 7 SP1, Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1, and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 require Microsoft updates to support SHA-256. Refer to Microsoft KB3033929 for more information about how to install this security update.

4LabWindows/CVI 2017 supports Windows 7 SP1, but does not support Windows 7.  Previous versions support both Windows 7 and Windows 7 SP1.
