Overview


Matrix Orbital designs and manufactures a wide array of character and graphic LCD display devices for advanced technology and industrial applications. The attached driver download includes an NI-VISA based instrument driver for the GLK line of displays, and was developed and tested with the GLK19264-7T-1U-WB.

The Matrix Orbital GLK19264-7T-1U-WB INTELLIGENT display module is a flexible device featuring RS-232 connectivity, a 192x64 pixel monochrome LCD, and a 7 key tactile keypad.  The RS-232 connectivity makes it easy to control the LCD display from CompactRIO, NI Single-Board RIO, or any other LabVIEW programmable devices capable of supporting NI-VISA.

The downloadable driver for Matrix Orbital displays was developed to perform similar to a traditional instrument driver.  The driver includes functions for initialization, configuration, and close, in addition to device specific functions such as writing text or drawing graphs.

The download also includes a simple example program that demonstrates how to get started with the driver and display string data on the LCD display.
