Combines an ARM processor, NI Linux Real-Time OS, programmable Xilinx FPGA, memory, and high-density connector for a custom carrier board for your specific I/O.

The CompactRIO System on Module (SOM) is a very small, flexible, reliable, high-performance, industrial-grade, deployment-ready embedded computer used for high-volume, OEM control and monitoring applications.The fully validated runtime software stack includes high-quality I/O drivers and NI Linux Real‐Time, which combines the performance of a real‐time OS with the openness of Linux. Program the processor with LabVIEW Real‐Time, C/C++, or other common languages. Program the FPGA with LabVIEW FPGA, which abstracts the details of HDL programming and the Xilinx FPGA toolchain.You must attach a custom board that provides the application-specific I/O needed.
