Description

The C/C++ cross compiler supports NI RIO hardware running the NI Linux Real-Time operating system built with OpenEmbedded 2.1 (Krogoth). Recommended for use with the 2017 releases of NI Linux Real-Time.

This cross compiler toolchain is based on GCC 4.9.

NOTE For the 2018 software set, use 2018 versions of the software in the table below.

*The FPGA Interface C API provides a communication layer between the LabVIEW FPGA VI and a C/C++ real-time application. It is not required if using LabVIEW Real-Time to build the real-time application.

LabVIEW and LabVIEW FPGA are required to develop the FPGA VI and compiled bitfile that runs on the FPGA. 

 

Installation Instructions

  1. Install Java SE JDK 32-bit(x86) Java SE 6 or greater is recommended, which you can download at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html.
  2. Install C/C++ Development Tools for NI Linux Real-Time, Eclipse Edition.
