Modulation Error Ratio

    Modulation Error Ration (MER) is a measure of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in a digitally-modulated signal. MER is usually expressed in dB. MER over N symbols is defined as follows:

    where In+jQn is the vector representing the symbol being measured at index n.

    is the ideal vector close to the actual symbol being measured.

    N is the number of symbols.
