    Computes the kurtosis of the input array.

    Syntax

    y = kurtosis(x)
    y = kurtosis(x, w)
    y = kurtosis(x, w, dim)

    Inputs

    x

    Real or complex array of any dimension.

    w

    Calculated kurtosis type. w is a scalar that accepts the following values.

    Name Description
    0

    Computes the population kurtosis value.

    1

    Computes the sample kurtosis value.

    Default: 1

    dim

    Dimension of x across which to compute the kurtosis if x is an array. dim is a scalar that accepts the following values.

    Name Description
    1

    Computes the column-wise kurtosis.

    2

    Computes the row-wise kurtosis.

    n

    Computes the kurtosis of higher dimensions.

    Default: 1

    Outputs

    y

    Kurtosis of x. y is an array of any dimension.

    X = [1.1 -2 10.5 -4 2.7 3.6];
    Y = kurtosis(X)
