NI WSN devices feature battery-powered operation, mesh networking capabilities, and the ability to embed NI LabVIEW intelligence into each measurement node.
Many applications extend beyond the controlled environment of a lab or research facility. Wireless data loggers are often located in harsh outdoor or industrial environments. In such applications, IP enclosures can protect sensitive measurement equipment.
Programmable With LabVIEW
You can program NI wireless data loggers with custom functionality using LabVIEW, a graphical programming environment used by millions of engineers and scientists. Featuring intuitive graphical icons and wires that resemble a flowchart, LabVIEW makes it easy to take measurements from any sensor. Simply drag and drop controls and graphs to create custom user interfaces, and graphically wire together function blocks to define your own software functionality for logging data, alarming, triggering, reporting, and analyzing real-time data.
The LabVIEW WSN Module extends the LabVIEW graphical programming environment to create and deploy applications to programmable NI WSN measurement nodes. You can create custom applications to extend battery life by optimizing node behavior, perform custom analysis, and embed decision making or local control.
