As vice president of strategy and corporate development, Kevin Ilcisin is responsible for ensuring cross-functional alignment of NI’s strategy planning and execution activities, including the use of partnerships and acquisitions to accelerate NI’s platform-based strategy.
Prior to joining NI in 2015, Ilcisin served as the vice president and chief technology officer at Tektronix, where he was responsible for the core technology development, R&D strategy, and portfolio processes governing R&D investments. He has also held leadership roles at Novellus Systems (Lam Research), Zight Corporation, and Technical Visions.
Ilcisin is the inventor or co-inventor of 42 US and foreign patents. He has been recognized with five postgraduate and two postdoctoral awards including the Princeton Merit Award and Killam Memorial Award.
Ilcisin holds doctorate and master’s degrees in plasma physics from Princeton University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with distinction from the University of Alberta.
