  1. How to Be Considered for a Featured Award

Multicore Award - Sponsored by Intel

The Multicore Award, sponsored by Intel, will be given to the paper that details the most innovative application using NI LabVIEW system design software to program NI hardware including PXI, Smart Cameras, or NI CompactRIO devices. The application must take advantage of multicore technology to build a unique solution and boost overall system performance.

The NI LabVIEW FPGA Innovation Award – Sponsored by Xilinx, Inc.

The LabVIEW FPGA Innovation Award sponsored by Xilinx will be given to the paper that details the most innovative application using LabVIEW system design software to program the FPGA in NI hardware including PXI-based R Series modules and CompactRIO, NI FlexRIO, or NI Single-board RIO devices. The application must take advantage of the FPGA resources to build a unique solution and boost overall system performance.

Green Engineering

In recent years, engineers have been called on to create new ideas on how to be more energy efficient and environmentally sensitive. The Green Engineering Award recognizes the technical paper that best exemplifies how engineers and scientists around the world are using the graphical system design platform to make a positive impact on the global ecosystem.

Humanitarian

For decades, NI has maintained a mission to improve everyday life by developing innovative products and technologies that help engineers and scientists solve the world’s problems. The Humanitarian Award recognizes the submitted application that exhibits the greatest impact on improving the quality of life for people across the globe.

Editor’s Choice

National Instruments also invites editors from leading trade publications to select an Editor’s Choice Award winner.

1. How to Be Considered for a Featured Award

You cannot submit your paper in any of the featured award categories mentioned above. You must first be selected as an application category finalist to be considered for any of the featured awards. However, you do not have to win your application category to be nominated for one of the featured awards.
