Overview

This document contains the InsightCM 3.0 known issues that were discovered before and since the release of InsightCM 3.0. Not every issue known to NI will appear on this list; it is intended to only show the severe and common issues.

Rises Above and Falls Below Operating state logic Incorrect
Using Rises Above or Falls Below logic in the Default operating states acts similar to Greater than or Less than. Device will send data every second until condition is not true, instead of a single shot true condition and then returning to false.

Workaround: Apply InsightCM Server 3.0.1 Patch or upgrade to InsightCM 3.1

2.0 SDK Custom Devices are Incompatible with 3.0 Server
Due to changes to in 3.0 application, custom devices developed with the InsightCM SDK 2.0 are incompatible with InsightCM 3.0 server. To use migrate 2.0 for 3.0 use, contact NI Support for best practices and possible migration paths.

Asset Definition Page hangs when deleting sensor features at large sites
When deleting features from sensor definition on the Asset Definition page at a site with large number of sensors, the Remove function never finishes executing. The user can select a feature to Remove, and are given the 'Update Nodes' warning. Loading mask will be displayed and operation will not complete. Similar behavior is seen when adding a feature and then making the feature default, which adds the feature to all sensors.

Workaround: Upgrade to InsightCM 3.1

Spectrum-Viewer x-Axis scaling incorrect on non-English OS
Using a Windows Server OS with non-English keyboard and display options can result in the Spectrum-Viewer x-Axis scaling incorrectly. The reported affected systems are Dutch and German Windows Keyboards options.

Workaround: Apply InsightCM Server 3.0.1 Patch or upgrade to InsightCM 3.1

Historian Asset node fails to load on Data Page
A Historian Asset configured to load data from PI server causes Data viewer page to error when viewing asset.

Workaround: Apply InsightCM Server 3.0.1 Patch or upgrade to InsightCM 3.1

InsightCM Server machine hangs on shut down or reboot
When InsightCM Server is issued a restart or shutdown command, Windows just shows 'Stopping Services' continually. When manually stops InsightCM 3.0 and RabbitMQ services, the sever proceeds to shut down.

Workaround: Upgrade to InsightCM 3.1 or manually stop InsightCM 3.0 and RabbitMQ from Windows Services

Alarms not evaluated in correct Operating State by InsightCM Server
Users may define Alarms that evaluated in specific operating states, e.g. Alarm1 in On state and Alarm2 in Off State. Alarms are not filtering the operating states correctly and evaluated in all operating states.

Workaround: Upgrade to InsightCM 3.1
