By combining off-the-shelf sensors with the NI Single-Board RIO embedded system, users can rapidly develop autonomous systems such as an unmanned ground vehicle. This webcast discusses the development of NIcholas, a small-scale UGV powered by LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW Real-Time. NIcholas uses LIDAR for visualization, and a Vector Field Histogram algorithm for obstacle avoidance.
