Overview

The Toyota Technical Development DataPlugin for XDT-MFX provides support for XDT, MFX, and MFXZ measurement files created by the Toyota Electronic Control Unit (ECU) tool.

This DataPlugin supports reading and writing of Toyota ECU tool measurement files.

Note  This DataPlugin supports only the 32-bit TTDC library. To use the 64-bit ECU tool library use the Toyota Technical Development DataPlugin for XDT-MFX 21 Q4 or later.

  • You must install the uspXDT_MFX_64.uri file on your system to make use of the DataPlugin in 64-bit applications.
  • In 64-bit application you may experience increasing loading times.
  • No writing features are supported.
  • The DataPlugin will not display any error messages in 64bit applications.
  • The uspXDT_MFX_64.uri file will install to the folder of the 32-bit DataPlugin.

Supported Features (Reading)

  • Importing different file types: XDT, MFX, and MFXZ.

Supported Features (Writing)

  • Only for 32-bit applications
  • Export only XDT formatted files
  • Saving of one channel group is supported.

Note  This DataPlugin uses the ECU Tool Library. Please install the 32-bit version of this tool on your computer before installing this DataPlugin.

In the software the DataPlugin name is XDT_MFX.

Supported Operating Systems

Toyota Technical Development DataPlugin for XDT-MFX 19.0 supports the following operating systems:

  • Windows 10 64-bit1
  • Windows 8.1 Update 1 64-bit1
  • Windows 7 64-bit with Service Pack 12
  • Windows Server 2016
  • Windows Server 2012 R2 Update1
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 with Service Pack 12

1 NI software installs VC2015 runtime and .NET 4.6.2. Windows 8.1 requires Microsoft updates to support these software products. Refer to Microsoft KB2919442 and KB2919355 for more information about how to install these updates.

2 NI software is signed with an SHA-256 certificate. Under Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1 Microsoft updates are required for the support of SHA-256. Refer to Microsoft KB3033929 for more information about how to install this security update.

Application Software Support

Toyota Technical Development DataPlugin for XDT-MFX 19.0 supports the application software that support DataPlugins, for example DIAdem, SystemLink and LabVIEW.

Installation Instructions

Download the Toyota Technical Development DataPlugin for XDT-MFX installer from ni.com/downloads. Extract the ZIP file to a local hard drive folder. In the Windows Explorer, double-click the installation file (*.EXE) of the DataPlugin and follow the installation wizard. Double-click the uspXDT_MFX_64.uri file or open it with the "Usi registration tool for DataPlugins and store definitions" (usiReg) to register the DataPlugin for 64-bit applications on your computer.

Automating the Installation of NI Products

You can automate the installation of most NI products using command-line arguments to suppress some or all of the installer user interface and dialog boxes.

If the NI product you are installing uses Microsoft .NET 4.6.2, the .NET installer may run before any NI software installs and may require a reboot before the installation of NI software begins. To avoid a .NET reboot, install .NET 4.6.2 separately before you install NI software.

Using NI Software with Microsoft Windows 10

Microsoft Windows 10 is the latest version of the Windows operating system and features significant changes compared to previous versions. Windows 10 introduces several new capabilities and also combines features from both Windows 7 and Windows 8. Toyota Technical Development DataPlugin for XDT-MFX Drops Support for Windows 7 (64-bit) and Windows Server 2008 R2 in 2021

Toyota Technical Development DataPlugin for XDT-MFX will drop support for Windows 7 (64-bit) and Windows Server 2008 R2 in 2021. Versions of this product that ship after May 1, 2021 may not install or execute correctly on these operating systems.
