Overview

This document contains information about a patch that is available for the following LabVIEW products:

  • LabVIEW 2018 FPGA Module Xilinx Compilation Tool for Vivado 2017.2
  • LabVIEW 2019 FPGA Module Xilinx Compilation Tool for Vivado 2017.2
  • LabVIEW NXG 3.0 FPGA Module Xilinx Compilation Tool for Vivado 2017.2
  • LabVIEW NXG 3.1 FPGA Module Xilinx Compilation Tool for Vivado 2017.2

All issues fixed in the patch are listed in the table below. NI strongly recommends that you install the latest patch to all of the above installations.

NOTE: This patch is distributed via NI Update Service and Web Download. The fix in this patch is also included in the full Vivado 2017.2 installer, but the patch files will only install when run on a Windows 10 (Build 1709 or later) machine. This patch is targeted to customers that first install Vivado 2017.2 for any of the above versions on a Windows 10  (Build earlier than 1709) machine and then upgrade to Windows 10 (Build 1709 or later). It should also be noted that, due to CAR 694049, uninstalling the LabVIEW 2018 FPGA Module Xilinx Compilation Tool for Vivado 2017.2 from NI Package Manager does not uninstall this patch. This problem does not affect the other versions to which this patch can be applied. Refer to the LabVIEW 2018 FPGA Module Known Issues for information on a workaround.
