Al correr Measurement & Automation Explorer recibo un error con el siguiente mensaje:

The MAX database is not running. Restart your system and try again. Visit ni.com/info and enter the info code MAXStoppedServiceError if the problem persists. Go to ni.com now?

¿Qué puedo hacer para solucionar esto?

Solución:
Este mensaje indica que el servicio NI Configuration Manager se ha detenido. Esto posiblemente sucede si la computadora no ha sido reiniciada después de la instalación de software de NI. Por favor reinicie la computadora e intente de nuevo.

También puede reiniciar el NI Configuration Manager manualmente siguiendo los siguientes pasos:

Diríjase a Control Panel y seleccione Administrative Tools»Services.
Presione el clic derecho sobre la entrada de NI Configuration Manager y seleccione Restart.

Si el servicio inicia de manera exitosa, pero se detiene poco tiempo después automáticamente, la causa podría ser Windows Firewall.
