Overview

This document contains known issues that were discovered before and since the release of the Sound and Vibration Toolkit 2010 and Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite 2010. Not every issue known to NI will appear on this list; it is intended to only show the severe and more common issues that can be encountered.

Known Issues

Sound and Vibration VIs

  • SVPO Order Metrics for Periodic Inspection VI returns inf speed if the number of passing revolutions is less than integration cycles
  • Standardized Filter Express VI returns error on execution if 'unwrap phase' checked.
  • Changing "number of channels" in Orbit Express VI will increase the memory usage significantly.

 

X Control

  • Timebase XControl tree legend flickers when copied to another blank VI and run continuously.

 

UFF58 File I/O

  • The UFF58 plug in does not support localized operating systems.
  • The Uff58 plug in cannot open UFF58 files that contain Japanese characters.  The file name can be in Japanese, but the file text cannot.

 

Sound and Vibration Assistant

  • Power in Band reports incorrect x-axis scale label and units when charted.
  • User step with octave output does not display in octave table viewer.
  • A group of proximity channels with different units causes problems for the SVA steps and viewers.

  • Legacy ID – An older issue ID that refers to the same issue.  You may instead find this issue ID in older known issues documents.
  • Description - A few sentences which describe the problem. The brief description given does not necessarily describe the problem in full detail.
  • Workaround - Possible ways to work around the problem.
  • Reported Version - The earliest version in which the issue was reported.
  • Resolved Version - Version in which the issue was resolved or was no longer applicable. "N/A" indicates that the issue has not been resolved.
  • Date Added - The date the issue was added to the document (not the reported date).
