NI Update Service 17.0 Known Issues

Overview

This document describes known issues in NI Update Service 17.0.

The following table contains the NI Update Service known issues that were discovered before and since the release of NI Update Service 17.0. This table is not an exhaustive list of known issues; it is intended to show only the severe and common issues.

IDKnown Issues
580199When Update Service is uninstalled, the Windows Task Scheduler entries are not removed, which result in warnings in the system event log.

Workaround: Manually delete the Windows Task Scheduler entries for NI Update Service.
579115The trademark symbol for CVI does not display properly in error messages.

Workaround: None
366159Incompatibilities are confusing when they are caused by a product contained in an update. Often updates have incompatibilities that are not caused by the product that the update is for, but by a dependency that the update installs.

Workaround: None

  • Legacy ID – An older issue ID that refers to the same issue.  You may instead find this issue ID in older known issues documents.
  • Description - A few sentences which describe the problem. The brief description given does not necessarily describe the problem in full detail.
  • Workaround - Possible ways to work around the problem.
  • Reported Version - The earliest version in which the issue was reported.
  • Resolved Version - Version in which the issue was resolved or was no longer applicable. "N/A" indicates that the issue has not been resolved.
  • Date Added - The date the issue was added to the document (not the reported date).
