SystemLink 17.5 Known Issues

Overview

This document contains the SystemLink 17.5 known issues that were discovered before and since the release of the SystemLink 17.5. Not every issue known to NI will appear on this list; it is intended to only show the severe and more common issues that can be encountered.

Downloading multiple files from the File Viewer will only download one file in Internet Explorer 11
When selecting multiple files in the File Viewer and clicking Download, only one file will be downloaded.

Workaround: Download each file individually, or use a different supported browser.

Installing SystemLink Server will overwrite any existing RabbitMQ configuration already installed
If SystemLink Server is installed on a system that has an existing installation of RabbitMQ, SystemLink will overwrite the existing RabbitMQ configuration.

Cannot set time using 24-hour format in Time Settings application
Trying to change the time to 24-hour time format (e.g. 22:45) in the Time Settings view will display a red error box around the Time text field, and Save will be disabled.

Workaround: Clear the Time text field first, then enter the time in 24-hour format. This will convert the time from 24-hour format to 12-hour format.

NI Web Server cannot host NI SystemLink Web Application on system with only IPv6 enabled
If a system only has IPv6 enabled and no IPv4 address, remote clients will not be able to access the NI SystemLink Web Application.

Aborting a LabVIEW application that uses Skyline APIs can hang for up to 2 minutes
A LabVIEW application using the Skyline APIs can take up to 2 minutes to abort if the system cannot connect to the SystemLink Server.

Cannot login as Windows 'admin' user with Web Server 'admin' user enabled
When the Web Server 'admin' user is enabled, it prevents the user from being able to log in to a Windows user named 'admin'.

Workaround: Disable the Web server 'admin' user or rename the Windows user.

Navigating to the application browser from Dashboard Builder does not prompt user to save changes
While editing a dashboard, if the user navigates to the application browser by clicking the four boxes in the upper-left corner, it does not prompt the user to save the changes, resulting in a loss of any edits made.

Workaround: Save changes before navigating to the application browser.

Time settings changed through Managed Systems revert on target restart.
After changing the time on the target through Systems Manager, restarting the target reverts the time changes.

Windows Groups are missing from the NI Web Server Configuration browse dialog
In the NI Web Server Configuration tool, when configuring a role as a Windows group, the browse dialogue does not show all available Windows groups.

Workaround: Open the Windows system dialog, browse for the group and manually enter (copy/paste) it into the NI Web Server Configuration Tool.
