National Instruments is discontinuing the legacy National Instruments Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (ELVIS ) I workstation and the supporting Traditional ELVIS driver software. National Instruments can no longer produce these products due to the limited availability of certain components from our suppliers.
The NI ELVIS I workstations will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis until April 30, 2013 or until inventory has depleted. For new purchases, we suggest the NI ELVIS II series workstation.
NI ELVIS II offers significant performance and form factor improvements over the legacy NI ELVIS I workstation, providing educators with a cost-effective, integrated educational design and prototyping platform. The NI ELVIS II+ extends the NI ELVIS II platform with a 100 MS/s oscilloscope to meet higher bandwidth applications.
To ease your transition, National Instruments is offering software support for NI LabVIEW 2012 with current version of the NI ELVIS traditional driver (NI ELVISmx 3.0.7). This will be the final release for this driver; however, National Instruments will continue to provide technical support through our online Academic support forums.
Repair and replacement services for the NI ELVIS I workstation will be available until April 30, 2014. After that time, NI will offer service based on product or component availability.
