Critical Security Update
To help protect your systems, customers using NI driver software 2026 Q2 or earlier should visit ni.com/ni-pal-update and follow the recommended actions.
This guide walks through the steps to access the Nigel AI, from installing the necessary software to logging in and activating your software.
To use Nigel AI, you’ll need to install and activate NI software that includes Nigel.
Note: The Nigel AI is only available in 2025 Q3 versions of software and later.
To access Nigel, you need to link an existing serial number that has active software service benefits to your NI User Account.
Note: This serial number may be a single-seat license, a product suite or bundle, or a serial number from a multiseat agreement, like a Volume License Agreement or Enterprise Agreement.
You should see the entitlement for your software service appear in My Products list within 24 hours.
You’ll need your serial number to activate Nigel. If you don’t have it, here’s where you can find it:
Nigel uses Auth0 for secure authentication.
Security Note: Auth0 ensures your credentials are protected with industry-standard encryption and authentication protocols.
After you log in, you’ll have full access to the Nigel AI features. If you run into any issues, refer to the NI Support site or contact your NI representative.
To enable mass Nigel access at an organization level instead of having individual users, take these added steps. The information required to process your request depends on your license type.
