This page shows supported versions of LabVIEW with Windows® operating system. Reference this information to ensure you install the correct version when updating your operating system, when migrating code to a new system, or when upgrading to a new version of LabVIEW.
Using incompatible versions may result in errors, the inability for Microsoft Windows to recognize or detect and then find a driver for your device, or missing devices.
If you are looking for information on Windows Server operating system compatibility, see the LabVIEW and Microsoft Windows Server Compatibility document.
The following table shows the compatibility between LabVIEW versions and different Windows operating systems.
If the version you are looking for is not listed, refer to the LabVIEW and Microsoft Windows Compatibility spreadsheet under the Downloads section. You can also find a full list of supported operating systems in the Readme for your version of LabVIEW. Visit the Release Notes page to access readme documents for current and previous versions of LabVIEW.
Note: This information can also be used to determine compatibility between the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine and Windows operating system versions. LabVIEW Run-Time Engine versions will be compatible with the same versions of Windows as their corresponding Development Environment versions. Check your version's readme for more information.
