When using a simulated PCI-4070 or PXI-4070/1/2 in Waveform Operation Mode

When using a simulated instrument, an error may be returned when calling niDMM_Initiate(), niDMM_ReadWaveform(), niDMM_Control() with the action parameter set to Commit, or using the instrument with InstrumentStudio.

Instruments affected: PCI-4070, PXI-4070, PXI-4071, PXI-4072

    There is currently no known workaround for this issue.

    System crashes with Blue Screen (BSOD) when using PXIe-1090 chassis with PXIe-4081 and PXI-2532B on Windows 11

    When connecting a laptop to a PXIe-1090 chassis loaded with both a PXIe-4081 and a PXI-2532B via a Thunderbolt (MXI-Express) connection on Microsoft Windows 11, the system repeatedly crashes with a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) and restarts automatically.

    Known laptop models that exhibit similar behavior:
    • HP EliteBook 840 G10
    • HP EliteBook 860 G10
    • Dell Latitude 5440
    • Dell Latitude 5540
    • Intel Core Ultra 7 255H system

      Workaround:

      Use the following laptop models or avoid using Windows 11.
      • Dell Latitude 5430
      • Intel 11th Gen Core i7 system

      Vulnerability CVE-2026-8035

      CVE-2026-8035 may allow a local authenticated user to cause a denial of service by triggering a crash due to a NULL pointer dereference.
