The following items are notable issues fixed between the release of NI-DCPower 2025 Q4 and NI-DCPower 2025 Q4 Patch 1, including additional patches and service packs. LabVIEW Installer Hangs on 'NI Offline Help Viewer' Step

Note: This issue can affect any NI software installation that includes or depends on the NI Offline Help Viewer component.

You may experience startup issues with the NI Offline Help Viewer application when installing LabVIEW. Two primary symptoms have been identified:

Symptom 1: Hanging Splash Screen

  • The Offline Help Viewer splash screen appears during startup but the application fails to progress beyond this point
  • Application appears to be running but becomes unresponsive

Symptom 2: Application Fails to Start

  • The Offline Help Viewer application fails to launch entirely
  • No splash screen or UI appears when attempting to start the application

These issues can prevent successful LabVIEW installation or block access to offline documentation resources.

Workaround:

For Hanging Splash Screen Issues:

  1. Delete all files from: C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\Offline Help Viewer\database-orm
  2. Restart the Offline Help Viewer application
  3. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\National Instruments and locate all files with .zcp extension
  4. Drag and drop all found .zcp files into the Offline Help Viewer UI
  5. If documentation remains missing, reinstall the relevant product(s) associated with the missing documentation

For Application Startup Failures:

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator
  2. Execute: del /q C:\Users\*\AppData\Local\Temp\*icudt*
  3. Attempt to restart the Offline Help Viewer application
