Workaround:

Manually install the Visual Studio extensions from Semi Device Control Public directory:

InstrumentStudio appears to hang when launching a project containing a Semiconductor Device Control Add-On panel

When opening an InstrumentStudio project that contains a Semiconductor Device Control Add-On panel or when creating a new Semiconductor Device Control Add-On panel, InstrumentStudio appears to hang until the panel loads. Shortly after the panel loads, an activation window appears.

Workaround:

This hang is due to background licensing checks and is proportional to the number of licensing on the system. To reduce the time it takes to check licenses, use NI License Manager to remove unused licenses.
