Overview

The following items are notable issues fixed between the release of NI-Sync 2022 Q4 and NI-Sync 2023 Q1, including additional patches and service packs. The 802.1AS Time Reference Is Unavailable on Linux Desktop Distributions after a System Reboot

On sporadic occurrences, the 802.1AS time reference is unavailable after a system reboot on Linux Desktop machines. This issue can be verified by running the following command:

nitimesynccli --device <deviceslot> --getTrInfo

If no information is displayed for 802.1AS, please proceed with the workaround.

Workaround:

Run the following command in the terminal to restart the TSM service:

'sudo systemctl restart nitsmd.service'
