Battery test package files cannot be removed once submitted through the BatteryTestPackageLoader

Once battery tests package files are submitted through the BatteryTestPackageLoader, they cannot be removed from the database of the server.

Workaround:

Fixed in the Battery Test System Software 2023 Q2.

If using an older version, submitting a package file with the same name updates the existing configuration. In this case, the old version is archived and used only by existing test plans. Submitting a configuration with a different name results in a new test plan.

Embedded Data Logger settings are ignored when using Size in the base property

The BTS Server ignores the segmenting settings for EDL.xml files that use "Size" as their Base, such as in:
<FileSegmenting Interval="60" Base="Size" Enabled="true"/>

Workaround:

Fixed in the Battery Test System Software 2023 Q2.

If using an older version, use "Time" instead of "Size" for the Base in the FileSegmenting element of the EDL.xml, such as in: <FileSegmenting Interval="60" Base="Time" Enabled="true"/>

Test station files must not have more than one NI-VCOM (PROVEtechRBS) instrument

A test station file (.teststation) with more than one NI-VCOM (PROVEtechRBS) instrument will be accepted by the package loader application and will make the test station not work properly.

Workaround:

Fixed in the Battery Test System Software 2023 Q2.

If using an older version, do not add more than one NI-VCOM (PROVEtechRBS) instrument in a test station file (.teststation).

Intaking test packages through the package loader application may, in some cases, result in the following error: "The process cannot access the file '\\?\C:\bts_production_storage\EntityFileAsset.index' because it is being used by another process."

Workaround:

Fixed in the Battery Test System Software 2023 Q2.

If using an older version, run the package loader command again.

The Embedded Data Logger and SystemLink custom devices display error 1162 when opening their right-click menus

The Embedded Data Logger and SystemLink custom devices display Error 1162: "LabVIEW: (Hex 0x48A) Cannot find one or more tags" when opening their right-click menus in the VeriStand System Explorer.

Workaround:

Fixed in the Battery Test System Software 2023 Q2.

If using an older version, use the icons in the top bar of the Veristand System Explorer for most of the right-click menu functionality.

If needed, temporarily relocate or remove the following files when working with the configuration of these custom devices in a VeriStand system definition file and then restart VeriStand:

  • %Public%\Documents\National Instruments\NI VeriStand 2021\Custom Devices\National Instruments\Embedded Data Logger\Custom Device Embedded Data Logger for Web API.xml
  • %Public%\Documents\National Instruments\NI VeriStand 2021\Custom Devices\National Instruments\SystemLink\Custom Device SystemLink for Web API.xml
After restarting, return the files to their original locations after accessing the required right-click menu options and closing VeriStand.

Some NI-VCOM (PROVEtechRBS) channels are not published to SystemLink as tags.

Workaround:
