New Revisions of Some R Series Devices Are Not Discoverable With R Series Driver on Desktop Linux and Linux RT

On a desktop Linux system, the device will not be returned by the lsni command. On Linux RT, the device will not appear as an R Series device in NI MAX. The device cannot be used in any application.

To confirm that this problem is occurring, use the dmesg command (possibly as a root user) and check for an error like the following:

[eriesstc3k|flash/cfi/FlashControllerCfi.cpp|0110] Error -61499 (StatusCode::InternalError): Calculated flash size != read: 0x4800000 != 0x800000

Workaround:

Use an R Series version that is

  • 20.5 or older
  • 21.5 or newer
