This document contains the Calibration Executive known issues that were discovered before and since the release of Calibration Executive 6.7. Known issues are performance issues or technical bugs that NI has acknowledged exist within this version of the product.
Not every issue known to NI appears on this list; it is intended to show the most severe and common issues that you may encounter and provide workarounds when possible. Other technical issues that you may encounter could occur through normal product use or system compatibility issues. You may find more information on these issues in NI’s Product Documentation, Knowledgebase, or Community.

NIPM Does Not Enforce Dependencies in Calibration Executive FeedNI Package Manager allows the Calibration Executive feed to be modified to remove core components that are required for certain procedures. Dependencies should not be modified or deselected during installation.

Error Occurs Generating a Calibration Report on a Non-English OSWindows OS for languages other than English (Spanish, for example) may use a date format with extended characters. In this case, PDF, Word, and Excel reports cannot be generated using default report options; Calibration Executive displays an error:

Installing Version 6.0 on Japanese OS with Suggested Components Causes ErrorWhen you install Calibration Executive 6.0 on a Japanese operating system and accept the pre-selected additional items, an error occurs at the NI-HSDIO-Documentation package. Workaround: When you install Calibration Executive on a Japanese OS, deselect all NI-HSDIO components from the additional items list in NI Package Manager. In this case, however, the Japanese OS system cannot be used to calibrate high-speed digital I/O hardware.

Error Occurs If User Imports Custom Report Configuration from a Different FolderFrom the Custom Report Configurator, if you try to import a new report configuration from a location other than the default folder, the following error occurs:
Workaround: Copy individual stylesheet
folders to the default report configuration folder location. In the Custom Report Configurator, click Import, and select the main CustomReports folder to import all stylesheets, or select each stylesheet folder individually.

Error Occurs If Path to Custom Report Stylesheet or CustomReports Folder ChangesIf the file path for a custom report stylesheet or the CustomReports folder changes (for example, if a user's Documents folder is cleaned up), Calibration Executive displays an error when the report generator is launched:

Custom Report Features Cannot Be Shared Across User Accounts on a WorkstationAccess to custom reports on a single workstation is limited to the account used to install and use Calibration Executive. By default, the path for custom reports data is:
Workaround: Copy the content of the CustomReports folder (including the style sheet) to a shared folder, and then edit the cex_Config.ini file at C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Calibration Executive\Config\ to change CustomReportsPath to the new location.
