Our free trial allows you to access RFmx APIs and measurement IP to licensed RFmx software personalities. RFmxSpecAn is always free to download. RFmx Spectral Analysis, or SpecAn, is the free, out-of-the-box RFmx measurement personality that enables interactive and automated measurements for time-domain and spectrum analysis using NI RF instruments.
Download RFmx from the "Start free trial" button above. Navigate to the NI-RFSG download page and begin the download process. NI-RFSG provides RF signal generation capabilities with NI RF instruments and is commonly used with RFmx. Other software that may be needed to utilize full RFmx capabilities includes NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand (64-bit).
After the download is complete, finish the installation process for RFmx, RFSG, and any other software you wish to include. A computer restart may be required.
Connecting to hardware, whether real or simulated, is the best way to explore RFmx functionality and capabilities. Use the NI Hardware Configuration Utility User Manual to learn how to connect your PXI hardware or create simulated hardware.
Launch NI InstrumentStudio™ software from your desktop. InstrumentStudio™ is automatically downloaded and installed with RFmx. Create a new RF Signal Analyzer and RF Signal Generator panel to begin using RFmx interactively.

The initial trial period is seven days, and the trial can be extended for an additional 45 days from within the product.
