One benefit of the EA program is access to a combination of NI’s software tools. The specific combination, or suite, of tools depends on your company’s agreement. The different suites that are offered in the EA program are detailed as follows. If you don’t know which suite your company has access to, contact your software administrator or email services@ni.com.
There are two groups of suites: legacy suites and new suites. NI has created four new EA suites to simplify options and provide new value through the addition of new products. If you have a new EA with NI or have recently renewed your EA, you will see the new suites in your contract. If you have an existing EA, you will still have the legacy suites in your contract. When your company’s EA comes up for renewal, you will be migrated to the new suites.
Suites are groupings of NI software tools that serve targeted users or application domains. These are the suites offered within the EA program.
Legacy Core Suite
The legacy Core Suite is the basic package designed to help your company standardize on one software package that integrates graphical programming (NI LabVIEW) and text-based programming (NI LabWindows/CVI and NI Measurement Studio), along with some basic toolkits.
Legacy Core Plus Suite and NI EA Standard Suite
The legacy Core Plus Suite and NI EA Standard Suite add functionality to the legacy Core Suite with additional toolkits and modules related to modulation, sound and vibration, and vision.
Legacy Control Suite
In addition to the legacy Core Suite components, the legacy Control Suite includes the LabVIEW Real-Time and FPGA development modules, which make this suite valuable for embedded developers and any projects that require high-speed, reliable performance.
Legacy Control Plus Suite and NI EA Control Suite
The legacy Control Plus Suite and NI EA Control Suite add toolkits and modules to the legacy Control Suite for additional functionality. NI VeriStand is also included to address real-time test applications.
Legacy Test Suite
The legacy Test Suite combines the components of the legacy Core Suite with additional tools to address automated testing needs, including test sequencing with NI TestStand.
Legacy Test Plus Suite and NI EA Test Suite
The legacy Test Plus Suite and NI EA Test Suite provide additional functionality to the legacy Test Suite with the addition of some toolkits related to modulation, sound and vibration, and vision.
Legacy Control Test Suite
In addition to the legacy Core Suite components, the legacy Control Test Suite includes real-time, FPGA, and automated test tools. It is designed for companies that need to manage projects spanning from automated test to embedded control.
Legacy Control Test Plus Suite and NI EA Platform Suite
The legacy Control Test Plus Suite and NI EA Platform Suite include the tools in the legacy Control Test Suite with additional toolkits and modules for more functionality. It is NI's largest software package for EAs.
