NI LabVIEW+ Suite Free Trial

Important Information Regarding the LabVIEW+ Suite Trial

Before You Get Started with Your LabVIEW+ Suite Trial

During installation of the LabVIEW+ Suite, you will be able to select which software and drivers you want to install. Be sure to select the software that you are interested in trying.


As there are several software applications that comprise the LabVIEW+ Suite, you will begin an individual trial when opening the individual software. After you open LabVIEW, for example, you will begin a 7-day free trial. On the seventh day, you will be able to extend the software trial for an additional 45 days.


Getting Started with Your Free Trial

Step 1: Download and install the LabVIEW+ Suite.

Select the appropriate download from the trial download page to match your computer’s operating system.


Step 2: Activate your trial.

After installation, launch the software to begin your free trial. You will have complete access to all the features in all the software of the LabVIEW+ Suite.


Step 3: Use software and extend your time, if needed.

Try the LabVIEW+ Suite for your next project. If you’re not sure where to start, view some of the following resources.


At the end of the 7-day free trial, you will be given the option to purchase or extend the trial for additional 45 days to evaluate the software.


Getting the Most Out of Your Free Trial

NI LabVIEW

Learn how to use LabVIEW with a practical, step-by-step guide that shows you how to build your first program and acquire data. This guide also provides an overview to LabVIEW basics and graphical programming.


The LabVIEW Hands-On Guide includes four hands-on exercises, designed to help you develop a solid foundation in LabVIEW:


  • In Exercise 1, you will learn the basics of programming by building a simple interactive program.
  • In Exercise 2, you will turn the simple program into a more practical data acquisition program.
  • In Exercise 3, you will expand the data acquisition program to acquire data from multiple devices.
  • In Exercise 4, you can view example programs, which are the best references for getting started and building larger applications.


Note: Hardware is not required for these exercises.


NI TestStand

TestStand comes with many sequence examples that demonstrate both common tasks and example programs. These examples demonstrate how to work with code modules, manage parallel execution, log results, build user interfaces, and configure deployments. Each example is designed to help you understand core TestStand concepts through practical example programs. These can be found in the TestStand Public\Examples directory after installation or in the TestStand User Manual.


  • Run demo sequences that provide an overview of TestStand features in the Examples for Demos folder. These sequences can be executed without installing additional software.
  • The Examples for Fundamentals folder contains sequences that demonstrate key concepts for developing TestStand systems.
  • Find Parallel Execution examples in the Parallel Testing folder, which demonstrates the use of the TestStand built-in batch and parallel models to increase testing throughput.

NI FlexLogger™ Software

FlexLogger is designed to help you set up your hardware and take measurements quickly.


Step 1: Connect your hardware.

FlexLogger automatically discovers supported devices and displays them in the channel specifications.


Step 2: Connect sensors.

Configure channels for measurement or signal generation, apply scaling, and validate your setup in real time—no coding required. If you don’t have hardware, FlexLogger can simulate signals so you can start building and testing your project today.


Step 3: Log data.

Configure data logging specifications, including file name, type, and where to save it.


Step 4: Build your interface and acquire data.

Use a drag-and-drop environment to build a customizable view of your test system. Add pre-built elements, like charts and graphs, to view data in real time. Begin execution and start logging.


NI DIAdem

Familiarize yourself with DIAdem functions and how to use them using this DIAdem Getting Started Tutorial.


Each chapter describes a DIAdem panel and how to use it, providing a complete walkthrough from import to report. This tutorial contains exercises for finding, analyzing, and presenting data, as well as automating each step of the process.


Frequently Asked Questions about the LabVIEW+ Suite Free Trial

  • The initial trial period is seven days, and the trial can be extended for an additional 45 days from within the product.

  • The free trial gives you all the functionality in LabVIEW Professional, TestStand Development System, FlexLogger Professional, InstrumentStudio Professional, and DIAdem Professional.

  • The LabVIEW+ Suite trial provides access to try all the software within the LabVIEW+ Suite, including LabVIEW, TestStand, DIAdem, and more. This provides the same access to all the functionality as an individual product’s trial as you are trialing the highest edition of that software in both scenarios.

  • Yes. Everything you develop and create during the free trial will still be available for use once you purchase the product.

  • No. The 32-bit version is not available.

NI InstrumentStudio™ Software

Use the Introduction to InstrumentStudio to learn about the environment, configuring equipment, and taking measurements. There, you will learn the various InstrumentStudio features that can help you monitor and debug test systems.
