This article answers the following questions:
- How do I renew my existing enterprise agreements (EAs)?
Approximately 90 days before the end of your service agreement, an NI representative will contact the agreement administrator(s) to provide them with a renewal quote. Please ensure NI has received the most recent quarterly log file from the NI Volume License Manager (VLM) tool.
You can pay for your service agreement renewal by sending a purchase order to ea.support@ni.com or to the representative. There are automatic processes that occur when annual (mid-term) EA purchase orders or new-term renewal EA purchase orders are late:
- Late Payment—If the signed Enterprise Program Documentation and purchase order are not received before the renewal date, a late fee is automatically applied in the amount of 5% of the annual EA value for the first 60-days post expiration. Purchase orders that are more than 60 days late are subject to a late fee of 10% or higher.
- Software Access—You can access EA software for 60-days beyond the renewal date. The 60-day grace period is built into all NI managed license files to account for technical delays in implementing the new license file in the license management tool. You cannot add new clients to the license server or create new Disconnected License.
- Online Training—Access to online training will be frozen on the renewal date.
- Training Credits and Support-Service Credits—Access and use of EA Training Credits and Support-Service Credits (if applicable) is frozen on the renewal date. Please contact NI if scheduled classes in the week(s) following the renewal date should proceed in the case where travel and other arrangements have already been made.
- Technical Support—Access to technical support is frozen on the renewal date.
