This article will answer the following questions:
- How do I request a repair for a qualified NI product?
- What is a return material authorization (RMA) number and how do I generate it?
As described in the NI hardware repair policies, NI offers repair and replacement services. Before returning any product for repair, you will need an RMA number from NI.
- To generate an RMA number, navigate to the request form.
- You will need to be logged into your NI User Account. Follow the instructions on the form to enter your serial number and/or hardware model you would like repaired.
- Provide details about the issue. This information helps NI prepare to receive your hardware.
After your case has been opened, an NI team member will reach out to you to begin resolving your request. Lead times for repairs can be affected by the hardware service program that you have purchased or that was included with your hardware purchase.
For application-specific systems, such as the Semiconductor Test System (STS) or the ECU Test System, use the Application System Advanced Replacement Request form instead.
