This article will answer the following questions:
- Do I need to calibrate my hardware?
- How do I request calibration for a qualified NI product?
- What is the calibration interval for NI hardware?
It is necessary to calibrate your hardware at regular intervals to maintain the intended level of accuracy. Depending on your hardware and the nature of your application, it is recommended to calibrate in intervals of one or two years. The calibration interval begins when you receive the product from NI.
External calibration at the frequency of the recommended calibration interval is required for hardware to maintain its warranty specifications. Learn the difference between self-calibration and external calibration.
You can request calibration of NI hardware at any time.
- Navigate to Request Hardware Calibration page. You will need to be logged into your NI User Account.
- Follow the instructions on the form to fill it out.
For application-specific systems, such as the Semiconductor Test System (STS) or the ECU Test System, use the Application System Advanced Replacement Request form instead.
